Pure, ripe, fleshy cranberry and wild berry flavors, with subtle floral, spicy notes, give this a range of complexity and subtlety. Drink now through 2018.

2010 Sanglier
The dark ruby core of this pinot noir exhibits striking clarity and vibrancy. The nose develops nice intensity in the glass with aromas of concentrated red fruits like raspberry, cherry and strawberry. The  palate possesses balanced acidity, tannin and body with the engaging flavor intensity and a lingering finish. The flavors echo the aromas of candied red fruits which are framed by warm spices and a touch of pipe tobacco. The acid is refreshing and zesty, the fruit, firm and juicy and the tannins, ripe and fine-grained.

2009 Freeman
Lots of sweet, spicy fruit flavor in this flamboyant Pinot Noir. It flatters with a rich burst of caramelized oak and buttered cinnamon toast, but the real star is the cherry, raspberry, star anise and pomegranate flavor. Acidity and tannins provide welcome structure. The blend is from vineyards from both cooler and warmer parts of the valley. Drink now–2015.
