New Happy Hour Menu, Times at Finn & Porter - Austin, Texas

Finn & Porter in downtown Austin recently added a number of new dishes to its weekly Happy Hour offering, as well as extending the program to Saturday evenings. Now running Monday through Saturday from 5 – 7pm, specials include half off Finn & Porter’s bestselling signature sushi rolls, Chef’s tasting plates and select wines by the glass.

A variety of dishes – ranging from fresh sushi made with traditional and modern ingredients to creative small plates – satisfy a range of palettes. Sushi rolls available during Happy Hour include Lobsteryaki, a roll made with vanilla butter poached lobster tail, cucumber and dried cranberry rolled in saffron rice and topped with seared foie gras and truffle balsamic teriyaki; the always-popular Fire Roll, made with shrimp tempura and avocado, topped with spicy assorted fish, tempura flakes, tobiko, green onion, and spicy mayo; Sea Dragon, a roll made with tuna, macadamia nut, Serrano, tobiko and topped with green apple and shiso pesto; and Nangoku, a spicy salmon and avocado roll wrapped in soybean paper that is fried tempura-style.

A variety of small plates, listed as Chef’s Tastings, include Grilled artichoke paired with parmesan panna cotta and upland cress; Grilled asparagus with truffle poached egg, chorizo and arugula; Pan-seared scallops with shaved Brussel sprouts and warm bacon dressing; Thai-spiced jumbo lump crab cake paired with jicama and red pepper slaw and mango coulis; Gulf shrimp on a bed of creamy orzo, chive, corn and chervil; Soy-glazed pork belly with Asian pear and celery salad and balsamic teriyaki sauce; Lockhart quail with heirloom tomatoes two ways, pistachio and eggplant purée; and goat cheese ravioli with hen of the woods mushroom ragout.
