Pork for Dinner

I picked up some pork chops and pork shoulder steaks for dinner tonight. They were on sale at Wal-Mart for about a $1.34 per pound. Since I'm still unemployed, I do a lot of grocery shopping early in the morning. The people in the meat market are marking down the meat because the cuts are approaching their "best served by" dates.

I find a lot of bargains and I freeze most of it. I have a vacuum sealer and I use it constantly. I find commercial bags on sale on ebay and purchase hundreds at a time. In my kitchen, I have pint, quart and gallon size bags ready to for fruit, vegetables and meat. Needles to say, my freezers are packed with all sorts of goodies to cook.

I buy a lot of pork and chicken for dinners. Very inexpensive and very tasty. Even cheap cuts of meats are great when properly cooked.
