The Whip In (1950 I-35 South, 78704) will be ushering in Rosé Season on Sunday, June 10, from 3 p.m. into the evening!
The ever-evolving South Austin gastropub added a custom-built wine bar in March, pouring 30+ wines by-the-glass under the direction of sommeliere Rae Wilson. In celebration they will be pouring Rosé wines to accompany a warm-weather treat from the South of France: le grande aïoli! Chef Eric Pelegrin, formerly of Bistro le Marseillais and Chez Nous, will join his wife and former business partner, Whip In Chef Martin Pelegrin in preparing this specialty of his native Provence.
The event will feature a Methusalem (6-liter bottle) of this season's Chateau Peyrassol Rosé- one of only five such bottles made available on these shores- as well as an assortment of other pink favorites of the season.
