About the Festival
Downtown McKinney’s premier festival, the 32nd Annual Dickens of a Christmas…Home for the Holidays is right around the corner. Enjoy an old fashioned family holiday festival with horse-drawn carriages, strolling carolers, visits with Santa Claus, the Christmas tree lighting ceremony and activities for all ages. Seasonal music, food and children's activities provided by local organizations will take center stage during the event. You are encouraged to spend the weekend enjoying all the activities and taking advantage of the many great shops, restaurants and entertainment choices. It's the perfect start to the holiday season!.
Stop by Landon Winery for wine tastings, hot spiced wine, and unique gift items that are sure to delight! Live Music on Friday and Saturday night with special musical talent and food throughout the day all three days.
Christmas Tree Lighting and Candlelight Shopping
This festive event will launch on Friday, November 23 with non-stop activity, followed by the lighting of the Christmas Tree and candlelight shopping until 8:00 p.m. Over 100 boutiques, wineries, art galleries, bookstores, apparel shops, and gift shops. You can find the unique and special things you won’t find anywhere else in downtown McKinney. This magical event is free to the public with free parking and free shuttle service. The event will go on as scheduled - rain or shine. Free parking can be found throughout Downtown McKinney.
