The Seedling Pantry to Open at HOPE Farmer's Market

Executive Chef, Dan Stacy (The Seedling Truck, Royal Fig Catering) is pioneering a new venture in conjunction with local farmers and artisans at HOPE Farmers Market beginning February 10, 2013.  The Seedling Truck has been a fixture at HOPE Farmer’s Market offering hot brunch items made from the products available at the market each week.  The Seedling Pantry will make it possible for market goers to create dishes at home using Chef Stacy’s homemade staples.  The Seedling Pantry will feature items including chicken and vegetable stocks, ramen stock, spice rubs, pickled vegetables, seasonal jams, preserves and breadcrumbs.  Recipe suggestions will be given each week using Seedling Pantry products and items available at the market.

The Seedling Truck was founded in January of 2012 by Dan and Kristen Stacy, the owners of Royal Fig Catering (  Royal Fig Catering prides itself on sourcing products from local farms and artisans.  Typically catering large scale events such as weddings and corporate functions, Chef Dan Stacy wanted The Seedling Truck to bring his upscale American comfort food to the general public with a weekly changing menu that highlights the best that local farms and artisans have to offer.  The Seedling Truck can be found on Thursdays and Fridays at The Draught House Pub on Medical Parkway and on Sundays at HOPE Farmer’s Market.
