Top Houston chefs will heat up CITYCENTRE once again as the Curry Crawl culinary competition returns on Sunday, May 19th. Hosted by Chef John Sikhattana of STRAITS Asian Bistro & Lounge, the Curry Crawl will feature a diverse mix of top toques battling it out to win the title of “Best Curry”, while showcasing and sampling their competing creations for judges and attendees. Judges will award first and second place prizes, and a “People’s Choice” honor will be determined by guest votes. Event proceeds will benefit PULSE, St. Luke’s Episcopal Health System’s newest young professionals group.
The fiery lineup of up-and-coming and established chefs from around the city includes Rik Patel of Ambrosia, Roberto Castre of Latin Bites, Neera Patidar of Nosh Bistro, Manish Chawla of Rasoi, Tony Le from RA Sushi, German Mosquera of Restaurant CINQ, Mark Gabriel Medina of Soma Sushi, Monica Pope of Sparrow Bar + Cookshop, John Sikhattana of STRAITS, Raymond Vandergaag of The Tasting Room, and Oziel Reyes of The West End. Cool off with cocktails from Bombay Sapphire and No Label Brewery.
