About Gerhard Reisacher and Delectus
Gerhard grew up in Austria and helped his father in the vineyards at an early age. In college, he had the opportunity to taste several Napa Valley Cabernet Sauvignons and in them sensed a world of unlimited potential.
Rooted by the family’s eight generations of vintners, Gerhard continues the family’s winemaking tradition. In 1986, Gerhard moved to Napa Valley and subsequently worked at several prestigious wineries. In 1995, Gerhard and his wife Linda began Delectus, which is Latin for "ultimate choice", on a mission to produce premium-quality red wines from the best and most unique vineyard sources in Napa Valley.
Kiran's is honored to host Gerhard and invites guests to meet him and learn more about his wines.
