Coquerel Family Wine Estates began as a dream to produce a superb sauvignon blanc in the Napa Valley modeled on the best traditions of the incredible Bordeaux blancs of France. Located in Calistoga, Calif., the estate vineyard is owned by Brenda and Clay Cockerell of Dallas, Texas. The winemaker, Christine Barbe, was born and raised in Bordeaux, France, and offers extensive expertise in enology and viticulture, as well as a passion for creating exquisite wines. The vineyard’s first estate-grown wine, 2008’s sauvignon blanc, Terroir Coquerel, won numerous awards and favor from wine critics and connoisseurs alike.
